Twilight Trail
In a year that had been quite out-of-the-ordinary, Reading saw something pretty extra-ordinary in 2020. For the first time ever, Reading had its very own Twilight Trail, a magical festive trail full of sparkles and illuminations, leading you through Reading’s iconic Forbury Gardens and Abbey Ruins. What Box were commissioned to create a video visual guide for the space, providing advice and guidance on how to adapt the trail for a one off relaxed event. Reading Digital Fringe Webinar
The Coronavirus pandemic impacted the arts and culture sector in ways would couldn’t even begun to imagine back in March 2020, in our life time there has never been such disruption to the industry that we work in, live for and love. What Box founder, Hannah, lead a Reading’s Digital Fringe Webinar on covid-19 culture; how organisations and individuals could ensure their digital art was accessible and how accessibility can and must be prioritised as we return to physical spaces.

Aldworth Philharmonic Orchestra: Planets
What Box worked with APO as they took that first leap into relaxed performances in February 2020. Only a handful of Orchestra’s had ever attempted to create a relaxed concert, this brave step to adapt a format so steeped in tradition was made possible with funding from Arts Council England. We worked with the team to adapt their concert APO:Planets, to be accessible for a neuro-diverse audience; creating a video visual guides for ticket holders, providing specialised event management support to make the venue adaptations, leading staff and volunteer briefings, creating interactive post-show feedback points and event evaluation. ‘Twas the night before Christmas
This sensory retelling of the classic poem ‘Twas the night before Christmas brought to life Christmas favourite using all of the senses. Developed specifically for an autistic and neuro-diverse audience the event gave families a special festive treat that included snow, starlight and sugar plum fairies. This show is being developed into a wider tour hoping to begin in December 2021 if your interested, in booking tickets, or booking the show for your venue, get in touch on our How to reach us page.
